Wedding films that feel remembered, not staged

A solo filmmaker based in Boone, NC, filming in the Blue Ridge, across the Southeast and wherever your people gather.

Alex Chapman · Wedding Filmmaker

Your day will move faster than you expect. My job is to slow it back down.

I've spent the better part of a decade paying attention — to the light in the last hour before sunset, to the breath before a ceremony, to the moments that happen just outside the frame most people think to document. I film a limited number of weddings each year so every couple gets my full attention, before the day, during it, and through every hour of editing after.

How I work

Presence over performance

I don't stage the day back to you. I watch closely, move quietly, and let the real thing be the thing worth keeping.

Structure protects emotion

Careful planning with you, your planner and your photographer is what makes the day feel unhurried — and the film feel effortless.

One filmmaker, start to finish

The person you talk to is the person filming, and the person editing every frame. No handoffs, no rotating crew.

Where I film

Based in Boone, North Carolina — no travel fee anywhere in the High Country, and travel included across most of western NC.
