About the studio
I'm Alex Chapman — a wedding filmmaker with 8+ years and 80+ films behind me, relocating to Boone, NC to plant my studio in the heart of the Blue Ridge. I chose this market deliberately. The mountains, the light, the couples who are drawn here — it all aligns with the kind of work I want to spend my life making.
I take a limited number of weddings each year — not as a marketing tactic, but because the work suffers when the calendar is full. Every couple I film gets my full presence, preparation, and craft.
"He stepped in effortlessly and brought clarity to our vision. The result was a thoughtfully crafted film that feels timeless and deeply personal."

The venues
I've spent time researching the High Country's most distinctive venues — the light, the elevation, the atmosphere each one creates. These are the locations I'm most excited to bring my filmmaking into for Fall 2026 and beyond.
Investment
I bring the same level of craft to every collection — the difference is time and depth of coverage. Every film includes UHD 4K, curated color grading, and delivery within 4–6 weeks.
Add-ons
A distinct experience
Not every wedding calls for this. But for those designed with intention — Monochrome Legacy becomes part of the experience itself.
I bring a refined, luxury portrait station into your reception. Each portrait is guided with subtle direction, lit to feel timeless, and printed on-site — so your guests leave with something tangible before the night ends.
I place it intentionally — during cocktail hour, reception transitions, or open dance floor moments — so it never competes with your timeline, only complements it.

How I work
Most videographers show up on wedding day and figure it out. I don't. My process starts months before yours — because the best moments aren't captured, they're prepared for.
The six steps
"We watched our film four times the night we got it. We had forgotten moments we didn't even know were being captured."From a past wedding · South Carolina
